This painting was done after returning from an inspiring trip to Colorado. I've done several plein-air paintings on location to prepare for studio work. This painting is the first of Colorado Series.

Eventhough I have to endure altitude illness while painting on location, I tried my best !

I just saw this for the first time. I'm in Ecuador, 7,000 feet high in the Andes. The sky clouds are similar, and always moving. A dark cloud doesn't always mean it will rain. So the skies are spectacular with all the comulous in all formations as in your painting.
